Then print off the application for National Police Certificate PD267 form.

  1. Fill out the form and take to your choice of Police Station along with these instructions and get them to complete the form – make sure you take 100 points of proof of identification.

  1. DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY TO HAVE THE OFFICER ACTION THIS FORM – if the officer insists that you do have to pay at this time direct them to their own website as per the address above and get them to look at the VOAN Frequently Asked Questions on the left hand side of the page (Question 4 replicated below)  as EDJSA will not refund any cost borne by applicants.

4.      Once the Police officer has completed the form take it with you and return the form to your club to send to EDJSA who will put the VOAN in place. EDJSA will then send it to the Police to complete the application. Once they have completed it they will send it to you.

5.      Once you have received the successful application please take it to your club who must sight it but not keep it for their records. The club will then advise EDJSA that you have got your Certificate successfully.

Q: Why do VOAN volunteers have to return the authorised application form to

the organisation for endorsement?

A: The VOAN is a secure number and SAPOL recommends it remains secure within

an organisation to prevent illegitimate usage. The VOAN must be endorsed after the

applicant has had their application and identification authorised at a police station.

Endorsement of the application form provides a declaration that the applicant named

on the form is an unpaid VOAN volunteer and the fee is to be paid by the South

Australian Government. The organisation forwards the completed application to

RRU.

Or direct them to the http://www.sapolice.com.au/sapol/services/information_requests/national_police_certificate.jsp and get them to go to the NPC frequently asked questions, page 3 question 1which will reiterate the Police created procedure.
