Skills Clinic and Representive Teams Registration
The "Skills Clinic and Representive teams registration day" has been postponed due to hot weather due this Saturday 18th October. The weather forecast is for 34 degrees in the Elizabeth & District area and as per the EDJSA Hot Weather Policy the clinic will be postponed and rescheduled for next week Sunday October 26th 10:00am till 1:00pm. Remember this clinic is for players wishing to express interest in the Under 11 to 16, 2009 Zone Teams.

Futsal U/15 Team Required
"Junior Futsal at St Jays"
Some 44 teams will kick off the new Junior Futsal Season at the St Jays Recreation centre on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of October.
Most teams coming from the Elizabeth and Districts Junior Association Clubs such as Tea Tree Gully, St. Augustines, Para Hills, Salisbury United, Para Hills West, Modbury Vista, Ingle farm and others.
The age categories are from Under 7's right up to Under 16's.
The first round will commence with the Under 7/8 at 9.00am until 5.30pm with the Under 12's and on Sunday from 11.00am to 3.00pm ending with the under 16's.
Most age groups have 7 to 8 teams in each with the Under 16's having only 4 teams.
I am asking all teams to see if you can get a team together within a week or two to make it worthwhile for the existing 4 teams.

Futsal Competitions in Eliz and Districts Area
Ladies and gentlemen
of Elizabeth and Districts Junior Soccer Clubs
The outdoor season is coming to an end and I hope a lot of you have had a lot of success and also has been an enjoyable season for you, your players and your club. Its time to start thinking about how these kids are going to keep active in the game and sharpen those silky football skills of theirs in the offseason by playing the FIFA 5-a side Indoor Soccer game in an airconditioned stadium.
My organisation Futsal SA are looking at selecting 11 teams to the Nationals Futsal Championships in Canberra in January 2008 from the ages of Under 11 boys to Under 19 Youth in the Boys and Girls categories.
Once again I would like to see some of our Northern kids given the opportunity for selection like last year when three of the players from our Northern Competition (two boys and one girl) travelled to Canberra to represent the State in Futsal, which Im sure was a great experience for them to play against the elite Futsal players from other states and territories.
The St. Jays Recreation Centre Junior Competition is looking for more teams from Under 7 - under 16's to commence from Saturday the 11th of October after The EDJSA Challenge Ups and the October Long weekend.
The Gardens Recreation Centre Girls, Women and Youth and Men is also looking for more teams to start a new competition for the first time on Sundays (Afternoon and Nights)
Fliers and Nomination forms are available from me for your information.
Would you please do your best to assist me in getting this message across to all your coaches by way of Notice boards, emails or hand a copy to the coaches, parents. (I will gladly reimbuse you with photocopying expenses if need be)
We have a great Junior competition going in the north, friendly environment, run by professional and Futsal accredited people and we would like to continue doing just that.
Last year we had Junior teams from Tea tree Gully, St. Augustines, Para Hills West, Salisbury East, Modbury Vista, One Tree Hill, Ingle Farm, Para hills and the Raiders. Im sure these clubs will tell you that the competition was a good one and not just a money making venture. After paying the court hire, the referees and any expenses incurred for Futsal balls etc, the profits go back into the game for development and to assist the players selected to go to the National tournaments.
Hope to hear from you and have your club represented once again in one or two age groups. Please disregard this message if you have already nominated your team.

David Smith has created his own website at www.justsoccerdrills.com and is now contacting organisations around the world to raise awareness of this great FREE resource. There are currently 60+ quality football practises and games on the site, suitable for all ages, with many more to come. Each drill comes with diagrams and clear instructions and all are in easy to print pdf format.

Futsal Skills Clinics
Futsal is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is a great participation sport for young people as well as adults. The game is fast paced, great for skill development and a lot of fun to play. We have released a date for a Level 0 EDJSA accreditation 4 hour course,

please note this is a 4 hour EDJSA accreditation course not a full level 0 course... This course is for all coaches that have a level 1 certificate but do not have a level 0 certificate.
Before coaching in 2008 all coaches under 8 and above must have a level 0 and level 1 certificate. we will be only offering 2 level 0 4 hour courses the first one being Dec 1st and the second one being in early Jan. After this if you have not done your level 0 you will have to do the full 8 hour level 0 course
If you plan to coach Under 6 or 7 you must apply for the full Level 0 8 hour course not the 4 hour EDJSA acc course
