How do I become a Club Assistant Referee (Linesman)?
- Elizabeth & Districts Referees Association (EDRA) is running accredited club linesperson
courses for all clubs in the Elizabeth & Districts competition. We will, at no expense
to the clubs concerned, visit your club and run a short course which takes approximately
2 hours and includes a short written exam at the end which, if the participants are
successful, gives them an accreditation card to show that they have completed and
passed the course.
- All we ask is that the club involved (your club), supply the facilities, plus a welcoming
cup. We will supply the instructors who are skilled in passing on the required knowledge.
- Both EDJSA and our association feel that eventually all clubs should have accredited
linespersons with the necessary knowledge which would, in the long term, take away
a lot of the problems that crop up during matches.
- To this end it would be good if all clubs could back us in this requirement. To take
advantage of this offer ring Peter Watson on 8281 9413 or E-Mail Peter to arrange
a course
