How do I become a Club Assistant Referee (Linesman)?
Elizabeth & Districts Referees Association (EDRA) is happy to run a club linesperson
courses for all clubs in the Elizabeth & Districts competition. We will, at no expense
to the clubs concerned, visit your club and run a short course which takes approximately
30-45 minutes. Participants are taken onto the field of play and given a practical
demonstration of what is required of them to run the line during a game. There is
no exam at the end of the course and any questions concerning the role are most welcome.
All we ask is that your club supply the facilities and we will supply the instructor
who is skilled in passing on the required knowledge.
Both E&DJSA and our association feel that all clubs should endeavour to run these
courses, thus ensuring that people who undertake these duties have the necessary
knowledge which would, in the long term, take away a lot of the problems that occur
To this end it would be good if all clubs could back us in this requirement. To take
advantage of this offer ring Peter Watson on 0413 306 865 or E-Mail Peter at firstname.lastname@example.org
