The 2011 EDJSA Interzone Carnival was an unmitigated success. There was a good turnout. Everyone enjoyed themselves (players, parents, executives, referees, coaches & managers). A big “THANKS” to all of the clubs who provided players and coaches for this initial carnival. Hopefully a 2012 Interzone Carnival will be even bigger and better.

Elizabeth Grove Junior Soccer Club - Registration Day
Elizabeth Grove Jnr Soccer Club will be holding registrations for junior players ages 4 – 16 on the following dates:
- 22 January, 9:30 – 11 am
- 19 February, 10-1 pm (free sausage sizzle for registering players this day)
At Ridley Reserve, Fairfield Rd
$20 Deposit required for all registrations, and new players need to bring birth certificate or blue book
Players required for all age groups except under 9’s and need coaches for U15’s and maybe U13’s
Registration fees:
- U6-U8’s - $160
- U9 – U16’s - $190 (all fees included except uniform costs)
(10 % Discount for those paying in full by 30th April)

New EDJSA By-Law 27(f)
Police checks
Police checks are mandatory for all coaches and will be renewed every three years. It is the responsibility of each club to ensure that all of their coaches have police clearances or have submitted an application to EDJSA Assistant General Secretary no later than one week prior to the commencement of the season. Non compliance will result in the coach being banned from coaching until his/ her application has been received by EDJSA. EDJSA will fine any clubs that do not comply.

Upcoming EDJSA Coaching Course
EDJSA will be running a coaching course on November 27/28 all expressions of interest to "dennis@boostinoz.com". After being accepted, all criteria’s below will need/have to be met! Prior to showing up to the course!!! If not done/completed applicants will be sent Home..
- Must have completed the Online Questionnaire and emailed as per instructions on web site/ or have completed the old level 0 in previous years and have continued coaching. If they done the old level 0 and have not coached in the last 2 years within EDJSA they must do the online Questionnaire!!
- Must have applied for Police Clearance and have proof of that...No worries if they have not received it back yet, but must have applied for it.
- Must come with appropriate clothing to play soccer and be active in drills
- Must have pen and paper for notes to be taken
