Good morning everyone
Due to the latest restriction releases, we can confirm that full team training can commence from Monday June 1st. As we are a contact sport, we will be able to restart the season from June 27th.
All Clubs must abide by the guidelines previously explained (1.5m distancing) while keeping to a maximum of 20 people in your area if they can fit within that allocated space. Please see the requirements below:
- For contact sports: be limited to non-contact skills training
- Minimise use of shared equipment and facilities
- Limit the total numbers of additional people present, for example, up to 1 parent/carer per participant
- Minimise unnecessary co-mingling
- Encourage good hygiene, offer hand sanitiser at entrance and exit
- Ensure frequent environmental disinfection cleaning of the premises
- Implement signage/markings to support compliance with current restrictions and advice
- Refer to the Australian Institute of Sport’s Framework for Rebooting Sport for further guidance
Please bear in mind, we are hearing reports of fines of $1000 being issued already, and the Councils are patrolling as well.
Frank Taylor will be reassessing the leagues and will contact everyone with the details prior to the season restart. At this time, we can consider everyone in 8 team leagues, playing 14 rounds.
Stay safe
