It is with great sadness we have to inform you of the passing of Mr Ted Jackson last Friday the 11th of June.
Ted gave nearly 50 year's of service to junior soccer both within the EDRA and the EDJSA of which he is a life member of both associations.
In the late 1960s early 1970s the EDJSA was split into 2 association's northern zone and southern zone for about 2 years, Ted became secretary of the northern zone, this however converted back to one zone a couple of year's later, at this time Ted became an executive of the EDRA and it was not until the late 1980s early 1990s Ted returned to the EDJSA as the modified rules Co-ordinator and making it what it is today.
Ted will be sadly missed by all.
Could we please ask that all age groups playing this weekend hold a minute silence to be held prior to each match this weekend in honour of Mr Ted Jackson's memory and year's of dedication to all junior soccer players and clubs.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
